Sorry I haven’t been posting here much, ladies and gents; I’ve been pretty busy doing storm-related reporting the past few days.
Since things have started to die down, I’m going to start posting local storm updates in here. Here are a few:
-All of Middletown’s city parks have re-opened.
-There will be no recycling pickup in MIddletown tomorrow. It will resume on Friday, Nov. 9.
-For people who don’t have access to drinking water, you can pick some up at Middletown City Hall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Must bring your own container.
-As of Wednesday evening, power was still out in much of the Town of Wallkill: much of Scotchtown, Circleville, and the northern areas of town closer to Bloomingburg. About 1,200 customers in the town total were out. Town Supervisor Dan Depew said that, hopefully, Scotchtown would come back on today. The more rural areas could be waiting a few days, though.
