Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther’s district office has moved from its former space in the Business Improvement District offices on South Street to the third floor of City Hall.
The new, larger office was formerly occupied by U.S. Rep. Maurice Hinchey.
“While I have always had an office in Middletown, the new, larger space, at a more convenient location, will provide better access for the people I represent in the City of Middletown and the Towns of Wallkill and Mount Hope,” said Gunther, D, I, WF-Forestburgh. “I thank Mayor Joe DeStefano for his hospitality and generosity and look forward to continuing our great partnership.”
Carmel Wilson, who used to work for Hinchey in the same spot, will staff it.
“In addition to being a familiar face, Carmel has a wealth of knowledge and experience in government and constituent service,” said Gunther. “I’m proud to have her as part of our team. She will be a tremendous asset.”
The office will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Constituents can stop in or call 845-342-9304.
