Middletown district accepting bids for old Memorial School

The Middletown school district is again accepting bids to buy the old Memorial School on Linden Avenue.

The district’s voters authorized a sale in 2011, for $250,000, said Elizabeth McKean, the district’s Assistant Superintendent for Business Administration; however, the previous buyer recently backed out. There haven’t been any students there since 2005.

The district plans to hold an open house for interested buyers on March 1, and will accept bids until March 8, according to a legal notice.
