Middletown, Wallkill, Wawayanda reorganizational meetings set

The new year’s starting, and you know what that means, right? Reorganizational meetings.

The City of Middletown will hold its reorganizational meeting at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2. Three new aldermen will be sworn in — Kevin Witt and Jerry Kleiner in the 2nd Ward, Paul Johnson in the 3rd Ward. All three are Democrats, Witt and Kleiner won the Democratic primary against Kevin Luccketti and Ashok Sabnis, Johnson beat out Republican Mike Amodio.

The Town of Wawayanda’s is at 7 p.m. on Thursday, and the Town of Wallkill’s will be at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan 3. The political makeup of these town boards is the same as it was last year, though; all the incumbents were re-elected.
