Goshen Public Library’s Educational Theatre Series to present “Paul Robeson:All-American”

APRIL 1,2,3,8,9,10–2011

The Educational Theatre Series  of the Goshen Public Library & Historical Society announces it’s Spring 2011 production; “Paul Robeson:All-American.” The play will feature Jeff Starr as Paul Robeson with Les Ferguson playing several major characters. Music will be provided by Christopher Dean Sullivan. The production will be Directed by Ken Tschan, Artistic Director of the Educational Theatre Series. Show dates are April 1,2 8,9 at 7PM and April 3 & 10 at 2PM. Location is The Main Street School Building, 227 Main Street, Goshen NY. Seating is limited and reservations are a must. Admission is free. Please visit www.goshenpubliclibrary.org to register, beginning February 15th.The  mission of the the “Series”, formed in 2003, is to explore Biographical, Historical, and Socially Significant 90-minute plays. “The Goshen library theatre series, under Tschan’s watch,  offers a fresh theatrical energy for the audience member interested in that particular subject and also sparks an interest for those who were not familiar with the subject matter at all.” (Chris Farlekas-TH-Record).   Previous productions of critical acclaim and audience praise include “Vincent”, “Einstein”, “The Belle of Amherst”, “The Devil & Daniel Webster”,”Flowers for Algernon” and the 2010 tour of  “Cobb”. The” Series” also offers an Annual Summer Shakespeare in Salesian Park (since 2009) and oversees The Willie “The Lion” Smith Goshen Jazz Festival each September.
