“Kappa Iota Lambda” Student Film Buzz!

KIL Poster REvised 75

Kappa Iota Lambda will be priemiering on April 27 at the fourth annual Mount Saint Mary College Student Film Festival! The event starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Aquinas Theatre & Admission is FREE!

“Kappa Iota Lambda” is the name of the film I am working on with fellow Mount seniors Marty Kane, Chris Repetti, and Brian Kluska. The four of us are no strangers to making films and have a tremendous passion for this art. In fact, some of you may have even stumbled over “Awesome Man” or “Awesome Man 2: Something Legendary” on our Youtube page (http://www.youtube.com/user/AwesomeProductionsNY).  Quite simply, we are IMMENSELY EXCITED about showing the world our latest film, “Kappa Iota Lambda.”

Q: What movie genre does “Kappa Iota Lambda” fall under?

A: Psychological drama. Our film will make you think, laugh, and most importantly, entertain you!

Q: What’s the film about?

A: Kappa Iota Lambda is a mysterious organization that promises to make college senior  Brian Thorton’s financial ends meet if he joins their ranks. However, joining the Kappa ranks is not that simple. “Success Through Sacrifice” is the Kappa Iota Lambda motto and before Brian knows it, he has one impossible decision to make. How Far Would You Go?

Q: Who stars in “Kappa Iota Lambda?”

A: The talented Max Glanovsky, Gianna Cesa, Daniel Marinoni, and Brian Murphy play the lead roles.

Q: How long is the film?

A: Although our film is not yet complete, a final duration around 25 minutes can be expected.

Q: Where can I see “Kappa Iota Lambda?”

A: At the fourth annual Mount Saint Mary College Student Film Festival at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday April 27 in Aquinas Theatre!

My group and I have put a tremendous amount of effort into this film. In fact, we have spent over 50 hours filming thus far! We have a few small scenes left to film courtesy of some setbacks (what film doesn’t have setbacks!?) and then it’s post production time. Things are looking VERY GOOD and we really feel that we are accomplishing our goal of creating a professional looking entertaining film! Stay tuned 🙂
