Omega hosting Sancious Indian cooking class

The Omega Institute is hooking up with Kiran Ramgotra Sancious and her Indian home cooking class for a sixth year.

Sancious is of Indian heritage, born in Kenya, then growing up in Canada, before relocating to Woodstock, where she now lives. Her classes focus on making vegetarian Indian cuisine accessible to American kitchens, giving longstanding traditions a modern focus, working with dietary needs, simplifying process. She has taught celebrities such as Uma Thurman and Kate Pearson. You can find more at kiransindiankitchen.com.

I met Kiran less than a year ago in Woodstock. She is the wife of musician David Sancious, who tours with Sting and Peter Gabriel, among many more. I can attest that whatever was cooking the time I visited smelled great.

The class runs for an entire weekend, June 28-30, with tuition at $395.
