Main Street Farm market and cafe

Today we’re taking a peek inside of a market and cafe that I discovered last weekend in Livingston Manor, New York. It’s called Main Street Farm market and cafe and it’s the kind of place where you want to cozy up with a good book (or a friend, either works) and stay for hours. After you try one of their sandwiches, like farm fresh egg salad with Neversink Farm organic dill, and sampled a few of their fresh baked goodies, like the cinnamon walnut coffee cake, you can peruse all of the local goods they have to offer – and there are tons: meat, free-range poultry, fish, produce, farmstead cheese, honey, syrup, grains, produce, vegetables, coffee and speciality treats like granola and craft beer…. are you starting to get the picture?

The space is perfect and it’s hard to find a better source of local products. ┬áLast weekend, I made banh mi (Vietnamese sandwiches) using the smoked duck breast from Larchmont Charcuterie.

Go and find inspiration for your cooking adventures!
