Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney and Sean Eldridge have formed a joint fundraising arm called the Hudson Valley Victory Fund.
The Washington D.C.-based fund was registered with the Federal Election Commission on Feb. 20.
Maloney, D-Cold Spring, is facing Republican challenger Nan Hayworth, who represented much of the 18th Congressional District until 2012, when she lost her re-election bid to Maloney. She’s looking to reclaim her old seat this November.
Eldridge, D-Shokan, is looking to unseat Rep. Chris Gibson, R-Kinderhook, in a closely watched race for the 19th Congressional District that includes Ulster and Sullivan counties.
According to the the Democratic fundraising website Act Blue, contributions to the Hudson Valley Victory Fund will be divided equally between Eldridge and Maloney’s campaign accounts.
The first $2,600-$5,000 contribution will be considered designated for the primary election and the second $2,600-$5,000 will be considered designated for the general election, according to Act Blue. Contributors can also designate contributions to a particular participant.
