Three GOP county execs endorse O’Donnell

Three Republican county executives from New York’s 18th Congressional District endorsed their party’s candidate for that seat on Thursday.

Jim O’Donnell, a retired police commander, former Orange County deputy executive and current county legislator who’s challenging Democratic Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney on Tuesday, touted endorsements from Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus, Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro and Putnam County Executive MaryEllen Odell. Molinaro is running for governor on Tuesday against Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

“Jimmy has a proven track record of delivering results for Orange County taxpayers,” Neuhaus said in a campaign press release. “This election is about jobs and the future of our economy. If we are going to continue on the path of prosperity, historic low unemployment and growing wages, we need to send Jimmy to Washington. He did it for Orange County on the local level and he’ll do it for us in Congress.”
