Cornwall (Class A), Marlboro (B) and James I. O’Neill (C) will all be representing Section 9 in the semifinals this weekend.

- Chester was the first Section 9 Class D team to reach the state championship last season. O’Neill is trying to become the first Section 9 team to advance to the C state final.
- Two Section 9 teams have won state titles (M-W in 2005 and Rondout Valley (B) in 2000).
