Section 9 swimmers in state top 40

With the second half of the Section 9 boys’ swimming season set to start with seven dual meets tomorrow, I thought I’d take at look at where our local swimmers are stacking up among their competition from the rest of the state.

Thanks to the state-wide database of SectionXswim.com websites, we have a pretty good idea of where our local swimmers stand with less than one month to go until the OCIAA meet at Washingtonville.

I’m including the No. 1 plus any Section 9 swimmers to make the top 40. State qualifying times are in parentheses next to the event name. Asterisks indicate those who have already qualified for the state meet. For the full list check out this link. If there is one problem with the state database, it’s that it doesn’t include 11-dive scores for the diving. So I’ll give you the best 6-dive scores, even though that isn’t the best measure.
