SLATE HILL - I dropped by Minisink Valley’s girls’ basketball practice today to talk to some of the players about their success in the first half of the 2012-13 season.

The team’s four senior starters – Fallon Buck, Annie Haelen, Blake Smith and Erin Tomesheski – talk about the season so far, including last week’s big win over then-undefeated Monroe-Woodbury.

Click on the video above to see highlights from the interviews.

Check out the full story on the Minisink Valley team in Thursday’s Times Herald-Record.

The latest girls’ basketball state rankings are due out today, but as of this time (3:20 p.m.) the poll hasn’t been posted yet. As soon as it is, I will give you the list and tell you where our local teams are ranked right here in this post.

Any big games you have circled on the calendar during the stretch run of the regular season? Let me know on Twitter: @THR_Montgomery.
