Section 9 Division II wrestling championships: Video

LIBERTY – Justin Rodriguez caught up with a few Section 9 champions at the Section 9 Division II wrestling finals Sunday at Liberty High School.

Avery Leighton of Onteora won the 120-pound title.

Kevin Palko of Tri-Valley became the first Bears’ wrestler to win a Section 9 title, doing so at 152 pounds.

Aidan Mathhews, who attends Marlboro but wrestles for Highland, won his first Section 9 title, doing so at 170 pounds.
