Marlboro falls in state title game, 2-1: VIDEO

QUEENSBURY — Marlboro came up one run short in the NYSPHSAA Class B championship game on Saturday afternoon.

Windsor of Section 4 scored twice in the third inning and that was all the offense it would need in a 2-1 win. Marlboro scored one run on Aubrey Bianco’s double in the sixth inning, but Bianco was stranded on third.

Still, it was a history-making run for Marlboro. The Dukes hadn’t played in a state final since 1991.
