It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Pine Bush sophomore defensive lineman Anthony Pratt. Yes, I’m running with this Superman theme.
But Pratt deserves some props. Billed before the season as the next Delano “Caribbean” King, Pratt played the part on Friday in a 42-0 win over Middletown. Pratt, sporting a Superman shirt under his jersey, had three sacks in the win. Pine Bush had nine as a team to pitch its second shutout of the season.
The Bushmen shut out Valley Central 28-0 two weeks ago. The performance for Pine Bush was big, considering Warwick opened the Bushmen up for 52 points last week. Final score: Warwick 52, Pine Bush 26.
There were plenty of stars on Pine Bush’s defense. Another was Scott Flanick, who moved from defensive end to defensive lineman, shutting Middletown down. Let’s let Pratt and Flanick take it from here:
