Class AA

Where to begin? Best of luck trying to figure out the seedings here. Any team in OCIAA Division I or Division II has the potential to beat another team on any given day, so it’s hard to rank them right now. Pine Bush probably has the inside track on the No. 1 seed, but they do get some crossover games against Division II next week. However it shakes out, this is going to be a crazy fun bracket to track later this month. A ton of contenders and no real clear-cut favorite.

Class A

Wallkill likely gets the No. 1 seed here and Cornwall probably takes the second seed. Port Jervis, New Paltz and Marlboro won’t be far behind. Would anyone be at all surprised to see yet another Section 9 Class A final featuring Wallkill and Cornwall?

Class B

O’Neill is on pace to take the top seed, assuming they finish strong in division play. Spackenkill has been coming on strong after a slow start to the season and should be a tough team to beat in the playoffs with its wealth of postseason experience. And don’t forget about Rhinebeck, which will compete in Class B this season, up from C. Onteora and Sullivan West should round up the top 5 in some order.

Class C

With Rhinebeck playing up a class this year, this is shaping up to be a Seward-Chester rematch. That would be a fun finals matchup if it happens. Don’t forget about Tuxedo.

Class D

As of this writing, it looks like we’re bound for a Livingston Manor-Coleman Catholic battle in the finals here. Can Eldred right the ship and qualify for the postseason?
