The preliminary round results from this evening’s Section 9 boys’ swimming championships at Valley Central are available at Section9swim.com.

Here are the top seeds for Saturday’s finals:

These are the top-seeded individuals and relay teams after the preliminary round.

Some interesting developments here, as compared to the OCIAA meet of a few weeks back.

Pine Bush has switched some of its swimmers around and is going after the 200 and 400 freestyle relays.

Port Jervis’ Nick Winograd, who won the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke titles at the county meet, has switched out the IM for the 100 freestyle. He’s a fraction of a second behind Kuyl in the breaststroke heading into the finals.

Speaking of Winograd, I wrote about how he and Rondout Valley’s Alec Tocco are competing on high school teams this year in today’s paper. Here’s the link.
