Section 9 tennis early-round results

James I. O’Neill senior Davis Fleming advanced to the Section 9 semifinals with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Red Hook’s Joe Bryant at Match Point Tennis in Goshen.

Fleming, the 2013 section champion, will play Washingtonville’s Gavan O’Brien, who defeated Millbrook seventh-grader Dan Feigelson in three sets 0-6, 6-4, 6-2.

Highland senior Dharshan Rammohan advanced to his first section semifinal with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Goshen’s Lucas Irace.

Top-seeded Dan Leach and Mike Miller of Cornwall needed three sets to get past Warwick’s David Beggel and Pearse Algiere 6-3, 5-7, 6-2 in a quarterfinal.

Leach and Miller will play Pine Bush’s Tyler Dupee and Aidan Hrynda in the semifinals.

Monroe-Woodbury’s Colin Gordon and Vamshi Adimulam knocked off second-seeded Paul-Hudson Erwin and Andrew Shin of Cornwall 6-1, 1-6, 6-3 in a quarterfinal. Gordon and Adimulam play Mid-Hudson Athletic League champions Dan Poll and Emlyn Ellerby of Saugerties in a semifinal.

The semifinals will start at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Match Point Tennis.
