Wallkill graduate Tanner Saraceno could be reality TV’s next star.
Saraceno, a former Section 9 wrestler, was one 13 finalists revealed Friday by World Wrestling Entertainment for its “Tough Enough” series.
The sixth season of “Tough Enough” premieres on June 23 on USA. Saraceno is one of seven male wrestlers, who are competing for a one-year WWE contract and $250,000. He survived a three-day tryout with 40 potential contestants.
In a WWE release, Saraceno is described as, “a tattooed mixed-martial arts fighter with the beard of a wildman and a resume that would make most opponents shrivel in fear.”
After graduating from Wallkill in 2009, Saraceno attended Sacred Heart and Dutchess Community College. He later wrestled for Division II Limestone. Recently, Saraceno was an amateur fighter out of Revolution MMA in South Carolina. He won three of his four fights, the last on April 18 by a second-round technical knockout.
