Fekishazy to sign with SUNY Ulster

Wallkill senior and state 182-pound finalist Mike Fekishazy will sign his letter of intent to wrestle for SUNY Ulster Wednesday.

The addition of Fekishazy, Wallkill’s first state finalist, is huge for Ulster, which restarted its program this fall.

Fekishazy has earned both of the school’s state wrestling medals. He placed sixth at 170 pounds as a junior. Fekishazy was 40-3 this season and finished his high school career 152-31. The 152 wins rank second in school history behind Zac Mills (163).

Ulster, under coach Justin Signorelli, advanced two wrestlers Alec Guevara, a Wallkill graduate and Saugerties graduate Alex Munoz to the National Junior College Athletic Association championships last month.
