2017 MHAL boys tennis: Cheruiyot, Kalus doubles champions

New Paltz has won the Mid-Hudson Athletic League doubles title for the second straight year.

And for the second straight year, sophomore Issac Cheruiyot is a member of the championship team.

Cheruiyot teamed with Noah Kalus to defeat Rhinebeck’s Alec Gautier and Mitch Hutchins 6-1, 6-3 in the MHAL final.

Onteora’s Tomas Pesko-West claimed the singles title with a 7-5, 6-3 win over Spackenkill’s Ryan Ackert.
