2017 OCIAA singles early round results: Leach defaults from tourney

Cornwall sophomore Dan Leach defaulted out of the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association tournament after coming down with an illness.

Leach, a three-time OCIAA and Section 9 doubles champion, was the third seed.

Cornwall junior Lucas Arora, the top seed, advanced to the semifinals with a 6-0, 6-0 win over James I. O’Neill’s Ted Northup. Arora will meet Washingtonville’s Gavan O’Brien, a 6-0, 6-0 winner over Middletown’s Owusu Agyemon.
