2017 OCIAA boys tennis: Arora, Warwick’s Algiere, Redmond champions (VIDEO)

The third time was a charm for Cornwall junior Lucas Arora.

Arora won his first Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association singles title in his third straight finals appearance, defeating Goshen’s Lucas Irace 6-0, 6-2.

Warwick’s Pearse Algiere and Dean Redmond claimed the school’s first OCIAA doubles title since 1990, ousting Newburgh Free Academy’s David Salazar and Troy Steiner 6-1, 6-4.

Final: Pearse Algiere-Dean Redmond (Warwick) d. David Salazar-Troy Steiner (Newburgh Free Academy) 6-1, 6-4.
Consolation final: Matt Reinhold-Jack Clayton (Newburgh Free Academy) d. Zach Price-Colin Gordon (Monroe-Woodbury) 6-2, 6-2.
Semifinals: Algiere-Redmond (Warwick) d. Price-Gordon (Monroe-Woodbury) 6-3, 6-1; Salazar-Steiner (NFA) d. Reinhold-Clayton (NFA) 6-1, 6-3.
