Girls basketball: Mid-Hudson BCANY all-star team

A pair of Varsity 845 girls basketball first team all-stars have been chosen to represent the Mid-Hudson in the upcoming Basketball Coaches Association of New York tournament.
Lauren Desrats of Warwick and Maggie Malone of Cornwall are among the 12 players (and one alternate) who were selected by co-coaches Catie Biordi of James I. O’Neill and Marion Casey of Marlboro.
Also named were BCANY Section 9 all-stars Victoria Mirecki of Washingtonville, Kayla Walsh of Newburgh, Rudae Gadson of Port Jervis, Isabella Herrera of Spackenkill, Talaya Lewis and Jetta Stephens of Marlboro and Erin Fox of Millbrook. Rounding out the team are Kiarra Kennedy of Middletown, Jaelen Daubon of Roosevelt and alternate Erin Smith of Goshen.
The tournament will be played Aug. 4-6 in Johnson City.
