Football scrimmage schedule

Welcome to August, which means high school football is just about ready to get underway after a busy summer of camps, 7 on 7s, plus numerous practice sessions.
The season openers are set for Friday, September 1, but not before a week of preseason scrimmage action. Here is a list of those scrimmages:
Saturday, August 26
Valley Central, a team to be determined at Marlboro (Class B runner-up), 9 a.m. (JV also)
Pine Plains at Taconic Hills, 9 a.m.
Saugerties (Class A semifinalist), Red Hook, Spackenkill at F.D. Roosevelt, 9 a.m. (JV also, no Spackenkill)
Chester (Class C semifinalist) at James I. O’Neill (Class B semifinalist), 9 a.m. (JV also)
Kingston at Our Lady of Lourdes, 9:30 a.m. (JV also)
Wallkill (Class A semifinalist) at Middletown, 10 a.m. (JV also)
Roscoe (Class D champ), Ellenville, Tri-Valley at Liberty (Class B semifinalist), 10 a.m.
Cornwall (Class A champ), Pine Bush (Class AA semifinalist) at Warwick, 10 a.m. (JV also)
Minisink Valley at Maine-Endwell, 11 a.m. (JV also)
Monroe-Woodbury (Class AA runner-up) at Suffern, 11 a.m. (JV also)
Rondout Valley at Port Jervis, 6 p.m.
Newburgh Free Academy (Class AA champ) at Port Jervis, 6 p.m.

Saturday, August 26
Sullivan West at Port Jervis, 10 a.m.
Poughkeepsie at Rondout Valley, 10 a.m.
