Live 2017 OCIAA girls tennis semifinal, finals

Washingtonville freshman Jalynn Balleste captured her first Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association singles title with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Monroe-Woodbury seventh-grader Maeve Cassidy.

Warwick’s Jackie Grundfast and Ava Ghobadian of Warwick defended their doubles title, defeating Newburgh Free Academy’s Isabelle Goings-Perrot and Riddhi Patel 6-2, 6-1

Final:
Jalynn Balleste (Washingtonville) d. Maeve Cassidy (Monroe-Woodbury) 6-0, 6-0.
Consolation final: Shirali Patel (Cornwall) d. Lila Shih Freeman (Kingston) 6-2, 6-2.

Semifinals
Jalynn Balleste (Washingtonville) d. Lila Shih Freeman (Kingston) 6-1, 6-3; Maeve Cassidy (Monroe-Woodbury) d. Shirali Patel (Cornwall) 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (7-2).

Doubles
Final:
