Pawliczak, Memmelaar make college decisions

Burke Catholic senior forward Jake Pawliczak will continue his basketball career at Division III King’s (Pa.) College, according to coach John Kelly.

Pawliczak, a Varsity 845 first-team pick as a junior and senior, helped Burke Catholic to three straight Section 9 Class AA finals. The 6-foot-6 Pawliczak averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds this past season. King’s College were 10-15 in the 2017-18 season under veteran coach J.P Andrejko.

Pine Bush senior forward Mason Memmelaar, a two-time Varsity 845 second-team pick, will play for Division III RPI, coach Steve Distefano said. Memmelaar, who is 6-foot-6, averaged 10.3 points. 9.7 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 2.3 blocks and 2.3 steals for the Section 9 Class AA champions. RPI (13-12, 8-10 Liberty League) graduates one senior.
