State rankings: Minisink Valley softball No. 2 in Class AA

Minisink Valley softball continued its climb to the top spot in Class AA in state’s latest rankings.

The Warriors (18-0) are the state’s highest-ranked public school and No. 2 in overall rankings behind Kellenberg of the Catholic High School Athletic Association (18-1). Minisink Valley’s doubleheader against Goshen and Valley Central Monday was postponed.

Cornwall is the top-ranked Section 9 team in Class A at 23rd.

Chester is ranked 14th in Class B and Eldred is 13th in Class D.

Other area teams receiving rankings were: Kingston (tied for 30th, Class AA), Rondout Valley (22nd, Class B) and Tuxedo (19th, Class D).
