Section 9 Girls Golf: Amber Pennington first-round leader

Rondout Valley sophomore Amber Pennington shot an even-par 71 and is six shots clear of the field after the first round of the Section 9 championship at Apple Greens Golf Course in Highland.

Pennington is 18 holes away from her second section championship. She won the tournament as an eighth-grader in 2016.
