Girls basketball: Mid-Hudson drops first two

The Mid-Hudson all-stars from Section 9 dropped their first two games Friday at the Basketball Coaches Association of New York Hoop Fest in Johnson City.
Mid-Hudson dropped a 68-40 decision to Southern Tier. Kiarra Kennedy scored 17 points, Tony Neely seven and Erin Smith six.
Mid-Hudson then bowed to Central, 64-22. Neely scored nine with Jamie Waldron and Melissa Alifano each tallying four.
Action continues Saturday.
