Softball: Tagg, Garcia, Kelty top state all-stars

Warwick senior third baseman Brittany Tagg, Cornwall junior catcher Julia Garcia and Eldred sophomore shortstop Lenae Kelty were named second-team all-state in their respective classes.

Tagg batted .449 out of the leadoff spot for Section 9 Class AA champion Warwick. She had three home runs and 13 RBI.

Garcia hit .537 with six doubles, three home runs and 17 RBI for Class A Cornwall.

Kelty was Class D Eldred’s top run producer and a slick-fielding infielder.
