2020 State Consolation Final Results

Minisink Valley junior 285-pounder Adam Fenner and Port Jervis senior 220-pounder James Oosterom moved up the medals stand, placing in the state for the second straight season.

Fenner, who went 5-1 in the tournament, took third in Division I at 285 pounds after a fifth-place finish.

Oosterom is the first Port Jervis wrestler to win back-to-back medals since Dan DeCarlo in 2014. He edged Mattituck’s Colby Suglia 5-3 in the consolation final. Oosterom also went 5-1 in Albany.

Washingtonville sophomore Andrew Marchese rallied from 7-0 down to defeat Webster Schreoder’s Anthony Surace 11-9 in sudden victory.
