Recruiting: Goshen’s Giordano, Mullane to team at Hartwick

Goshen quarterback Matt Giordano and wide receiver Logan Mullane will continue their connection at next level for Division III Hartwick.

Giordano, a 2019 Varsity 845 first-team pick, threw for more than 5,000 yards and 49 touchdowns in three seasons. Marist, a Division I-AA (FCS), had shown interest in Giordano.

Mullane caught 30 passes for 558 yards and five touchdowns as a senior.

“It’s going to be a lot of fun,” Mullane said. “We’ve been close friends ever since we were little so playing another four years together is going to be great.”

Playing together in college didn’t factor into the seniors’ decisions, Mullane said.

“We were both looking at a bunch of schools and we both ended up choosing Hartwick,” Mullane said.

According to MaxPreps, Giordano passed for 5,361 career yards, which would rank third in Section 9 history, and threw just 10 interceptions in 533 career attempts. Mullane averaged 18.2 yards on 46 career catches.
