OCIAA tennis results: Reede singles champion, Leach, Miller repeat

Newburgh Free Academy junior and top-seed Tyler Reede earned his first OCIAA singles title, defeating Cornwall’s Lucas Arora 6-4, 6-2 at Match Point Tennis in Goshen. Mike Doulin on Cornwall’s record tennis streak

Seniors Mike Doulin and Joe McDonald clinched Cornwall’s 45th straight win with a 6-3, 6-4 over Newburgh Free Academy’s Jack Clayton and Shawn McNair Monday. Cornwall (3-0), which hasn’t lost a match since April 26, 2012, defeated Newburgh 6-1. Here’s Doulin on Cornwall’s run:

State tennis championships day two

Valley Central junior Sera Satkowski advanced to the consolation final with two wins Sunday at Tri-City Tennis in Latham. Satkowski was defeated by Baldwinsville’s Kahlei Reisinger 8-2 in the final. She posted wins over Hilton’s Holland Lang 8-6 and Shaker’s Haejin Lee 8-4. Pine Bush’s Sara Bogdanovic lost to Reisinger 8-1 in the consolation quarterfinals. [...]

State tournament Day One results
