Delaware player of the year Khallid Hart has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball at Marist College. The 6-foot-2 guard won three consecutive state titles for the Sanford School, and Hart earned state tourney MVP honors this season. Hart led his team with 15.7 points and 5.9 assists per game for Sanford (23-1).
Hart will play for the U.S. Virgin Islands national team this summer in Brazil.
“We are excited to have Khallid join our family here at Marist College,” coach Chuck Martin said in a release. “He will bring a leadership quality and a tremendous will to win as evident in his three consecutive state championships. He is a true leader and winner.”
Marist previously signed Eric Truog and Phillip Lawrence as part of the next freshman class.
