Army hockey drops season opener in Kansas City

Mac Lalor scored for Army in the opening-round loss of the Ice Breaker tournament in Kansas City, Mo., on Friday night. Zak Zaremba and Andy Starczewski picked up assists on the power play goal.
Army (0-1) takes on No. 20 Maine, a 1-0 loser to Notre Dame, in Saturday’s 4:30 p.m. consolation game.
Ryan Leets made 33 stops for Army, which started nine freshmen.
Zahn Raubeneimer had a goal and two assists for UNO, which jumped out to a 2-0 lead within nine minutes and 4-0 advantage through 28 minutes.
