Laird named soccer All-American, seven others honored

Monroe-Woodbury graduate Alex Laird was named a third-team All-American in NCAA Division III men’s soccer. Laird, a senior defender for Saint Lawrence, was also named first-team All-East region.
The awards are presented by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
Adam Beek of Kingston, a sophomore midfielder at Skidmore, was named third-team All-East. Nicholas Dipaola, a senior defender at SUNY New Paltz, was also named third-team All-East.
Newburgh’s Kayla Marti, a senior goalkeeper for Union, was named third-team All-East for women’s soccer. Emily Rokitowski, a senior defender from SUNY New Paltz, was also named third-team All-East.
Monroe’s Carly Collins, a senior defender at East Stroudsburg, was named first-team All-Atlantic region for NCAA Division II. Highland’s Christie Morano, a junior forward for LeMoyne, was named second team All-East. Highland’s Alyssa Abrahamsen, a junior at Florida Southern, was named first-team All-South region.
