Women’s basketball: Army schedule announced

Army will open the season with two road games at Long Island (Nov. 9) and Columbia (Nov. 12) and open a six-game non-conference home slate with Big East power St. John’s on Nov. 16.
Air Force (Nov. 21), St. Francis Brooklyn (Sept. 28), Fairleigh Dickinson (Dec. 5), Yale (Dec. 11) and Connecticut College (Dec. 30) round out the non-league games at Christl Arena.
Army’s non-conference road slate includes Binghamton (Nov. 25), Texas Christian (Dec. 2) and Wagner (Dec. 8).
Patriot League play opens Jan. 3 at Boston University and the home lid lifter is Jan. 6 against Loyola (Md.)
Navy visits West Point on Jan. 19 in a nationally televised noon start. Army plays at Annapolis on Feb. 16.
The Patriot League playoffs are March 9, 11, 14 and 17.
Army finished 17-14 overall and 9-9 in Patriot play last season. The Black Knights upset Lehigh in the quarterfinals and bowed to top-seed American in the semifinals
