Final-round 66 ties Ryan Rodriguez for third at Westchester Open

Ryan Rodriguez’s impressive final round netted the 2016 Cornwall graduate a tie for third place at Westchester Open.

Rodriguez, who will be a junior at Binghamton University, fired a bogey-free, 4-under-par 66 to finish the 54-hole tournament at 3-under 207 at Sunningdale Country Club in Scarsdale. Rodriguez’s third round included four birdies.

The three-time Varsity 845 golfer of the year started Tuesday with a even-par 70 in the second round.

Amateur Cameron Young of Sleepy Hollow Country Club won the Open with a 12-under 198 with rounds of 63, 70 and 65.

John Stoltz, a 2002 Minisink Valley graduate playing out of Shawangunk, tied for 5th place (2-under 208). Stoltz also fired a final-round, 4-under 66.
