Official Eastern States results from early Saturday
Brett Hearn won his 11th Eastern States title in small block modified. Hearn started on row two, moved into second place right off the start, and then passed pole sitter Jerry Higbie Jr. on a lap-eight re-start. Hearn successfully navigated some troublesome lapped traffic around lap 30, and had no problems the rest of the way.
Ronnie Johnson passed two drivers on separate moves over the final 14 laps to finish second. Higbie lost his runner-up spot to Johnson with six laps remaining.
