Lacrosse vs. softball?

Welcome to the spring season!

I’m covering softball and lacrosse, which brings up an intersesting
topic. Lacrosse interest has exploded in the area, but with more girls
playing lacrosse, there’s less girls playing other, more established
sports, including softball.

In fact, one softball coach told me last year that she was losing prospective softball players to lacrosse.

Any thoughts on this? Seeing this change anywhere?
