Game over
Jamesville-DeWitt 77, Peekskill 75
Jamesville-DeWitt successfully defended its Class A state boys’ basketball title, winning in overtime at the Glens Falls Civic Center.
The loss denied Peekskill its sixth state title under coach Lou Panzanaro, a New Windsor resident. Peekskill, which finished 24-2, won state championships from 2005-07 under Panzanaro.

We are about 35 minutes from the opening tip-off of the Goldbacks’ semifinal game against Long Island-champion Uniondale.
My take: Newburgh 57, Uniondale 53

I’ve got a feeling
Newburgh has a legitimate shot to beat Uniondale. I think the Goldbacks have enough scoring threats and enough good defensive players that they can really focus on Devon McMillan defensively, and maybe somebody else picks up the slack for Newburgh with scoring.
I also think Newburgh will benefit from having played a much tougher schedule.
