Smallwood commits to Syracuse

Cornwall junior (soon-to-be- senior) running back Tyree Smallwood has verbally committed to Syracuse University and accepted a full athletic scholarship, according to Cornwall coach Marcus Hughes. Marlboro’s state-tournament opponent is…

Section 1 champion John F. Kennedy, which beat Briarcliff 7-6 for the title Thursday. So….it’s Marlboro vs. Kennedy, 1 p.m. Monday at SUNY New Paltz in an opening-round Class B game.
