ESPN Tour: Missing the mascots by one day
ESPN is hosting a three-day media event at its Bristol, Conn., campus this week. Approximately 35 media members are attending brief seminars on portions of ESPN’s broad media reach. Today, Chris Berman and Ron Jaworski spoke about the network’s NFL coverage and USA soccer star Julie Foudy spoke about the upcoming Women’s World Cup in China.

U.S. Open tennis, baseball on Daily News Live on Tuesday

ESPN2 to air Team USA’s run toward Olympics hoop tourney
The second round of the FIBA Americas Championship basketball tournament in Las Vegas gets underway on Monday. Four games featuring Team USA will be aired by ESPN2 at 11 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and at midnight on Thursday.

Georgia on my Mind: LLWS walk-off win featured on ESPN Classic Monday night
An exciting Little League World Series was capped with a marvelous championship game on Sunday afternoon. Warner Robins, Ga., defeated Tokyo, Japan, with a walk-off home run in the eighth inning.

MSG, Fox Sports NY to air 35 college football games
The college football schedules for Madison Square Garden Network and Fox Sports Net New York have been announced.
The two regional networks will air contests from the Big East Conference, Big 12 Conference and Pacific 10 Conference, plus one Hofstra game and one Northeast Conference game.

Army football opener on SportsNet New York
The season opener for Army football, and head coaching debut of Stan Brock, will be televised by SportsNet New York. Army will take on Akron in the 7 p.m. contest from Cleveland Browns Stadium.
Brock took over for Bobby Ross, who elected to retire earlier this year.
