ESPN Radio covers the playoffs (updated Thursday)

Baseball’s championship series round will be split between two television networks but the playoffs have just one radio home as ESPN Radio will air every game.

Dan Shulman and Dave Campbell will call the National League Championship Series between Colorado and Arizona — it is the sixth consecutive year Shulman and Campbell have teamed together. Jon Miller and Joe Morgan will call the American League Championship Series between Cleveland and Boston — it is the seventh consecutive year Miller and Morgan have called action together.

Miller and Morgan will also handle the upcoming World Series.

WEPN, ESPN’s 1050 AM in New York, will broadcast Thursday’s NLCS opener and both games on Friday. Saturday’s ALCS game 2 from Boston was originally going to be bumped in favor of a Rangers game, but WEPN has decided to move the Rangers down the dial to WABC (770 AM), as it will with all Rangers conflicts during the remainder of the playoffs. Sunday’s NLCS game 3 from Denver will be aired.

If the WEPN signal is a tad weak (as is common in parts of the Hudson Valley) and you are desperate to listen to any of the Indians-Red Sox games, try out Red Sox affiliate WTIC (1080 AM) from Hartford, Indians flagship station WTAM (1100 AM) or Chicago’s ESPN Radio affiliate, WMVP (1000 AM).
