McCarver and Buck are TV’s baseball playoffs Ironmen

Hey baseball fans, do you think Joe Buck and Tim McCarver have called every playoff game since you were born? Well, it might seem that way because the pair have been in the broadcast booth for more post-season games than any other announcers.

Joe Buck, the son of legendary broadcaster Jack Buck, is the relative newcomer to the booth. This year will mark his 12th playoff season calling games for Fox Sports. In all, the play-by-play man has called the action in 129 playoff games (World Series 38; ALCS 33; NLCS 32; ALDS 18; NLDS 8).

Tim McCarver has the baseball post-season record with 232 broadcasts (World Series 90; ALCS 33; NLCS 73; ALDS 21; NLDS 15). McCarver has called playoff action for ABC Sports, CBS Sports and Fox Sports.

Buck and McCarver will be calling action from the 2007 American League Championship Series pitting the Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Indians. The pair will also call their 10th World Series together and eighth in a row.
