Give me liberty, and my ESPN

“I swear to uphold the Constitution … and to watch my daily dose of SportsCenter.”

Okay, it’s not likely our next Commander-in-Chief will drop that line into the Presidential Oath on inauguration day, but several candidates for the highest office in the land make regular viewing of ESPN, according to a survey conducted by TV Guide.

Republican Fred Thompson says “SportsCenter” is his favorite show and said Chris Berman is his favorite TV character.

Democratic hopeful John Edwards lists “SportsCenter” and “Boston Legal” as his favorite TV programs.

Democrat Senator Barack Obama says “Monday Night Football” is his favorite show and said “SportsCenter” is his “guilty pleasure.”
