NBC has decided to move the Cincinnati-Jets game on January 3 to its prime-time slot at 8:20 p.m. The Jets control their own playoff destiny.

Time Warner to roll out new news, sports show in spring
The recent changes for the news division at Time Warner Cable in Middletown will not be permanent.
Scott Christiansen, a vice president for marketing, said Monday plans are in the works for a 24-hour news and sports channel to be rolled out in March or April, once additional infrastructure work is completed and hirings are made.

Army-Navy football sees viewer surge (updated Friday)
The Army-Navy game, with no college football competition to speak of on TV, posted a 4.2 rating and 10 share in the overnight ratings for the top national markets. That is up 75 percent over last year and the highest mark since 1999.

Giants-Eagles game viewed by nearly 21 million
The Giants and Philadelphia Eagles played to an audience of 20.9 million on Sunday night, marking the seventh game on NBC to top 20 million viewers.
NBC is averaging 19.6 million viewers this season. The network averaged 17.5 million in 2006, 16.2 million in 2007 and 16.1 million in 2008.
