Farewell, Chip Caray
Chip Caray has been booted from his job as lead play-by-play man for the TBS Major League Baseball package, a move that came one post-season too late. Caray’s play calls were brutal during the 2009 playoffs, and the media criticism was heard loud and clear in the Turner Sports offices.
Turner officials say a search is on for Caray’s replacement, and there should be plenty of quality candidates, especially given the high profile offered with exclusive coverage of the MLB Divisional Series and alternating between the AL Championship Series and NL Championship Series.
